They begin as solid blocks of various raw woods that are hand-carved and sanded into shape by skilled local craftsmen. Each piece is then precisely drilled and given torpedo-like contours, a shape that is only possible thanks to the artisans’ vast experience and technique. Any misstep in the process can cause the wood to crack and ruin the piece.

TENNY insists that each pen’s body and cap be fashioned from the same single block of timber, a choice that significantly increases both cost and manufacturing difficulty, but ensures the wood grain patterns complement each other seamlessly. As a result, every pen is wholly unique in its texture and markings.
