2026 marks the year to introduce the improved version 2.0 of Platinum's flagship model #3776 Century:
Platinum #3776 Century Version 2.0 Demonstrator Limited Edition Fountain Pen
The new version introduces longer-lasting protection against ink drying, a re-designed grip section, and improved ink visibility of the transparent pen barrel. Released in 2026, fifteen years after the original #3776 Century launched in 2011, this updated model is limited to 2,000 pens worldwide. Its transparent "Prism Crystal" body puts the revised internal construction on view.
Compared with the original #3776 Century generation—referred to here as Version 1.0—the new model features these changes:
Longer-Lasting Slip & Seal Protection
The original Century’s Slip & Seal mechanism offered approximately two years of protection against ink drying while capped. For Version 2.0, Platinum reports more than three years under its test conditions, an improvement of over 50% in the stated protection period. The revised mechanism is designed to reduce ink evaporation during extended periods between uses.
A Clearer Cap Crown
The re-designed "Slip & Seal" assembly eliminates the nut previously visible inside the cap. This leaves a less obstructed view through the transparent crown and makes the internal construction easier to see.
Redesigned Grip Construction
Platinum has revised the grip structure to improve durability and ease of maintenance while supporting more stable writing. This is a structural update, rather than simply a change in the pen’s appearance.
Improved Ink Visibility and Rear Sealing
The barrel’s internal surface has been redesigned to reduce reflections, making the remaining ink easier to check. At the rear-section joint, an added rubber ring reinforces the seal and helps prevent loosening during writing.
Updated 14K Gold Nib Engraving
Version 2.0 features a new nib engraving based on the Mount Fuji motif inherited from the original #3776. The pen is fitted with a large 14K gold nib in Fine, Medium, or Broad.
Limited-Edition Demonstrator Details
The "Prism Crystal" finish reveals the pen’s internal components—a transparent format Platinum describes as normally used for in-house explanations of its mechanisms. This edition makes this demonstration construction available to the public, with an individual serial number engraved on the cap top. This fountain pen includes a gold-plated converter.

For shipping to the USA, we use "Economic Tracked Shipping" (estimated delivery time: 10 - 16 business days, tax inclusive). This shipping option is carried out by a third-party agent and the last-mile delivery in the US would be carried by USPS or a local US courier. While this shipping option is inclusive of any US import tax, there is still a risk of arbitrary imposition of additional taxes or import duties on your shipment.

How much is my shipping?
Hong Kong and Macau have a flat rate of HKD 35.
For all other countries, the shipping rate is dependent on the order’s weight and will be calculated at checkout.
Which courier will my order be shipped through?
For Hong Kong and Macau, your order will be shipped through SF Express.
For Taiwan, your orders will be shipped through SF Express or E-Express.
For all other countries, Standard Tracked Shipping is typically shipped through E-Express. Express Tracked Shipping is shipped through Speed Post.
When will my order arrive?
Standard Tracked Shipping: For Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, estimated delivery time is approximately 2-4 working days. For the rest of Asia, 2-7 working days. For the rest of the world, 7-14 working days.
Expedited Shipping: Within Asia, typically 2-4 days. For the rest of the world, around 3-5 days.
