Platinum 3776 Aizu Maki-e Ginga (Galaxy) Fountain Pen 白金 會津蒔繪螺鈿 3776鋼筆 － 銀河星光

"Ginga" was crafted using traditional Japanese maki-e techniques, and its entire body is sprinkled with iridescent shells (raden) to illustrate a starry night sky. The sea shells are meticulously inlaid onto the pen body, and a clear lacquer is painted on to ensure that the surface is smooth to the touch. The craftsman,'Koen', leaves his signature on the lower portion of the pen barrel.

Several traditional techniques were employed and magnificently executed in the making of "Ginga", making it an exceptional gift for any fountain pen enthusiast.

The Platinum #3776 is a timeless model, one that is oftentimes many's first introduction to 14k gold nibs. First produced in 1978, it's name is derived from the Mt. Fuji, Japan's highest peak.
