The “Kobe Hassho” is a new lineup that pays homage to Kobe’s local culture and history. The first of this series, “Kobe Cider,” is inspired by the now-ubiquitous Japanese carbonated drink: cider**.
A Fountain Pen That Fizzes with History
Cider has a long history in Japan. As early as 1875, it was sold at Arima Onsen, one of Japan’s three famous hot springs in Kobe, under the nickname “teppou mizu” (literally “gun water”).
Around the time of the Meiji Restoration, carbonated beverages—essentially the precursor to modern cider—were sold in the foreign settlement in Kobe. While several places in Japan claim to be the birthplace of cider, Kobe’s influence in making cider a beloved drink for Japanese people is undeniable. Famed brands like Mitsuya Cider (introduced in 1884) and Wilkinson also trace their roots to Hyogo Prefecture, underscoring Kobe’s influence in making cider a beloved beverage across Japan
** What is the difference between “cider” vs “soda” in Japan? Soda as a drink is the abbreviation of soda-sui (ソーダ水: meaning soda water), which is sparkling water. On the other hand, Japanese cider (サイダー) is a non-alcoholic, carbonated beverage, a soft drink of soda water sweetened with sugar, acidified with citric acid and flavored with fruit flavoring (apple, lemon or the like).

How much is my shipping?
Hong Kong and Macau have a flat rate of HKD 35.
For all other countries, the shipping rate is dependent on the order’s weight and will be calculated at checkout.
Which courier will my order be shipped through?
For Hong Kong and Macau, your order will be shipped through SF Express.
For Taiwan, your orders will be shipped through SF Express or E-Express.
For all other countries, Standard Tracked Shipping is typically shipped through E-Express. Express Tracked Shipping is shipped through Speed Post.
When will my order arrive?
Standard Tracked Shipping: For Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, estimated delivery time is approximately 2-4 working days. For the rest of Asia, 2-7 working days. For the rest of the world, 7-14 working days.
Expedited Shipping: Within Asia, typically 2-4 days. For the rest of the world, around 3-5 days.
