Kuretake Wood Glass Pen - Cherry Blossoms 吳竹 原木玻璃筆 － 櫻花木

In 2022, during the company's 120th anniversary, Japan's Kuretake introduced the Cherry Blossom Wood Glass Pen and Stand Set. This set is a true work of art, from the rare materials used to the craftmanship involved in creating it.

The wood comes from Mount Yoshina (Nara, Japan), where the cherry trees have been protected from logging for over 1,300 years and is listed as a World Heritage site.

In 2018, several Yoshino cherry trees collapsed due to severe rainfall. Kuretake decided to recycle this precious material into these glass pens.

The pen barrels are handcrafted by skilled artisans. The natural uncoated pen barrel allows you to directly feel the texture of the cherry wood. The curved design of the pen body fits perfectly in your hand, providing an excellent and comfortable grip.

The glass tips, handmade by glass artist Yoshitaka Tajima, offer a smooth writing experience that's suitable for everyday writing, and is available in Fine and Medium nibs.
