Following the initial launch of Model J Ebonite Antique Rose and Lotus Green fountain pens, Esterbrook introduced two more new ebonite colors in purple hues: Blackberry and Violet.

The Model J Purple Collection fountain pen, Violet, features a muted lighter gray purple ebonite that has been polished to a lustrous shine.  The striking elegance of the pastel violet hue is further enhanced when it is paired with lustrous gold-colored metal clip, cap jewel and ring bands of the pen.  This is a must-have pen for those who are into the pale violet tones.

Packaged with a converter and black cartridge.

A timeless iconic masterpiece, first released in the 1940s, has made a graceful comeback blending vintage charm with modern ingenuity.  The current Esterbrook Model J is either crafted with exquisite ebonite (hard rubber) from Germany or premium resin material.

The modern version of Esterbrook Model J retains the flat-ended pen shape and the distinctive ring-integrated rectangular fluted clip of the original version.  The black plastic cap jewel of the original version has been replaced with a metal cap jewel with the new Esterbrook logo.  Gone is the cap ring of the original version, which has been moved to decorate the pen barrel instead as two decorative metal ring bands: one thicker band that is hammered into a martelé finish; the other is a thinner ring placing below the hammered ring band.  Both metal bands are polished to a lustrous shine that sparkles under the light, giving the new model J a more luxurious look.  Consistent with the original version, the pen body is engraved with the cursive text “R. Esterbrook Co U.S.A.”

The new Model J carries a German stainless steel No.6 size nib that is available in various sizes ranging from EF to Stub, offering an exceptionally smooth writing performance.

About Esterbrook

Esterbrook was founded in 1858 and has since played a significant role in American culture and history. They were the first brand in the United States to produce fountain pen nibs, and have been used by US presidents such as Lincoln, Truman, Roosevent and Kennedy to sign important documents. The creators of Snoopy and Donald Duck, Charles Schulz and Carl Barks were also Esterbrook users.

Although the original Esterbrook Pen Company closed its doors in the 1970s, the brand was reborn in 2018 under the leadership of Kenro Industries. Esterbrook now offers a wide range of pens and accessories, including fountain pens, rollerball pens, ink bottles, notebooks, and pen cases, all crafted with the finest materials and attention to detail.

Their commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation is at the heart of everything they create, and they aim to be part of your creative journey.
