Cypress began its brand journey in 2018 with making exquisite wooden fountain pen. One of the key collections is Midas Touch (Cigar) series, which has a streamlined torpedo shape with a metal clip and cap ring and made with various precious wooden materials, including Bocote.

About Bocote (黄金檀)
Bocote is a distinctive precious hardwood sourced from trees of the genus Cordia that is native to Mexico and Central America. Bocote is often used to make high-end furniture and musical instruments.
Renowned for its dramatic grain patterns—featuring bold lines, swirls, and a spectrum of colors from honey-gold to dark brown—bocote stands out for its visual appeal. Its natural density and durability make it resistant to wear, while inherent oils enhance its smoothness and help protect against moisture. These characteristics, combined with its workability and balanced weight, make bocote an exceptional material for crafting high-end writing instruments, offering both unique aesthetics and lasting durability.
Bocote carries a unique slightly smokey and vinegary wooden smell like pickled relish. With use over time, bocote will become darker and very shiny.

Cypress is a young brand established in 2018 in Taiwan consisting of a team of innovative designers and artisans whose aspiration is to produce writing instruments that are meant to last a lifetime. Initially specializing in making wooden pens, Cypress has since expanded their repertoire of materials and techniques to include urushi, maki-e, raden, ebonite, metalcraft and unique resin materials.

How much is my shipping?
Hong Kong and Macau have a flat rate of HKD 35.
For all other countries, the shipping rate is dependent on the order’s weight and will be calculated at checkout.
Which courier will my order be shipped through?
For Hong Kong and Macau, your order will be shipped through SF Express.
For Taiwan, your orders will be shipped through SF Express or E-Express.
For all other countries, Standard Tracked Shipping is typically shipped through E-Express. Express Tracked Shipping is shipped through Speed Post.
When will my order arrive?
Standard Tracked Shipping: For Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, estimated delivery time is approximately 2-4 working days. For the rest of Asia, 2-7 working days. For the rest of the world, 7-14 working days.
Expedited Shipping: Within Asia, typically 2-4 days. For the rest of the world, around 3-5 days.

All orders will include a tracking number. Once your order ships, we will send you an email that includes tracking information so that you can monitor where your package is!
