Cypress Urushi Raden Fountain Pen – Sakura Snow 櫻雪素髹 - Beryl Green
Urushi art comes with a tactile feel and visual effect that are as warm and refined like that of jade, offering a unique elegance that is timeless and enduring.
In “Sakura Snow”, the urushi fountain pens were crafted with “plain lacquering“ technique (素髹) in two color variations: Beryl Green or Blush Pink.
Such simple single-color lacquering technique was popular during China’s Song Dynasty, when the decorative trend favored the belief of “less is more”. The monochrome lacquering technique (素髹) involves more than a dozen rounds of meticulous application of colored lacquer and polishing. The process is more challenging than the more decorative urushi art as the slightest flaw would easily be visible and difficult to conceal.
The “Sakura Snow” fountain pens were further inlaid with radiant raden (mother-of-pearl) flakes to form swirling sakura patterns or milky-way-like glittering stripes – truly a mesmerizing sight!

How much is my shipping?
Hong Kong and Macau have a flat rate of HKD 35.
For all other countries, the shipping rate is dependent on the order’s weight and will be calculated at checkout.
Which courier will my order be shipped through?
For Hong Kong and Macau, your order will be shipped through SF Express.
For Taiwan, your orders will be shipped through SF Express or E-Express.
For all other countries, Standard Tracked Shipping is typically shipped through E-Express. Express Tracked Shipping is shipped through Speed Post.
When will my order arrive?
Standard Tracked Shipping: For Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, estimated delivery time is approximately 2-4 working days. For the rest of Asia, 2-7 working days. For the rest of the world, 7-14 working days.
Expedited Shipping: Within Asia, typically 2-4 days. For the rest of the world, around 3-5 days.
