[PRE-ORDER] Penlux Delgado Kodachi Fountain Pen - Green Velvet (Penlux x Nagahara Special Edition)

We are delighted to offer pre-orders for the Delgado Kodachi (小太刀) – Black Belt and Green Velvet, a collaboration between Taiwan’s @penlux.pen and the renowned Japanese nib master, Mr. Yukio Nagahara! 

The Nib Master
Mr Yukio Nagahara is the son of the late Nib Master Nobuyoshi Nagahara. They both served Sailor for many years and pioneered the distinctive nib grinding style known as “Naginata-togi.” Currently, Mr. Nagahara operates his own workshop, “The Nib Shaper” (@thenibshaper), where he continues to refine his nib shaping craft.

Nagahara’s Kodachi Nib 
Kodachi (小太刀, こだち) which translates literally into "small or short tachi (sword)", is one of the traditionally made Japanese swords (nihontō) used by the samurai class of feudal Japan. This nib was created in the shape of this short sword and is ideal for Asian handwriting styles. 

Hand ground by Nagahara san himself, the Kodachi nib (based on the German-made JOWO No.6 nib) will be available in:

• 18k Gold; and
• Stainless Steel 

And in 3 sizes:

• Kodachi Medium (KM 中刀)
• Kodachi Fine (KF 細刀)

• Kodachi Needlepoint (KN 細美研)

Unique Pen Barrel

Penlux uses high density PMMA for the construction of the pen barrel.  The barrel’s wavy striation pattern is made by mixing multiple pearlescent PMMA of different colors, followed with heat treatment and meticulous polishing. All pens are adorned with a matching diamond-cut cap ring in either dark gun metal or gold plating.  The pen barrels are available in two colors:

• Black Belt, in dark gun metal trim; and
• Green Velvet, in gold trim

Each pen comes with a certificate which is signed by the owner of Penlux, Mr. Hsu, and the nib master, Mr. Nagahara.

Due to the time-consuming nature of the nib grinding process, the pens would only be available for purchase by pre-ordering, with an expected production time of at least six weeks.

研尖大師
長原幸夫先生是已故研鋒大師長原宣義的兒子。他們父子倆多年來為Sailor效力，並開創了獨特的“長刀研” 研尖風格。目前，長原先生在自己的工作室 “The Nib Shaper” (@thenibshaper) 繼續精研他的研尖工藝。

長原的小太刀研尖
Kodachi（小太刀，こだち）字面上翻譯為“小或短太刀”，是日本武士階級在封建時代使用的傳統日本刀之一。此尖是以這種短劍的形狀塑造，非常適合亞洲書寫風格。

由長原先生親手研製的小太刀（以德製JOWO 6號尖為原型），將有：

• 18K金尖
• 不鏽鋼尖

並有三種尺寸：

• Kodachi中刀（KM中刀）
• Kodachi細刀（KF細刀）
• Kodachi細美研（KN細美研）

獨特的筆身

Penlux使用高密度PMMA材料製作筆身。筆身的波浪條紋圖案是通過混合多種不同顏色的珠光PMMA，再經過熱處理和精細拋光製成。筆管有兩種顏色可供選擇：

• 黑帶，配灰黑槍色飾環
• 綠絨，配金色飾環

每支鋼筆都附有一張由Penlux創辦人Mr Hsu和長原先生簽字的證書。

由於研尖過程需時，此兩款鋼筆僅能通過預購方式購得。
